Transmutation

Deep in the depths of the wood,
Under the light of a full moon,
In the shadow of a tree he stood,

No emotion on show,
Kneeling down to the river,
His hand cups the flow,

Taking a drink of natures cure,
His body starts to tremble,
He collapses to the floor,

Over his face hangs his hair,
Reflecting in the river,
The face of a bear,

With a mighty roar up he stands,
A boy no longer,
But a great bear of these lands.
